The 18° Convegno Nazionale Trattamenti Termici (National Heat Treatment Congress) is a biennial tradition highly appreciated with Italian technologists. As Europe is increasingly becoming a “single nation”, this congress will extend its attention outside of Italy and following on from the event to be held in Metz in June 2000, it will become  2nd European Congress Heat and Surface Treatment. It will therefore be an occasion to gather in Rimini all the heat and surface treatments experts in Europe so as to analyze and review the latest practices and aiming at  a global growth of the activity.
